On October 20, 2020, Qingdao Tiansu Petrochemical Co., Ltd. officially signed a sales cooperation agreement with LG Chem at its Qingdao branch office. The agreement designates Tiansu as the authorized distributor for LG Chem’s 600,000-ton/year metallocene polyolefin output from its Yeosu plant, specifically targeting the Shandong regional market.
The signing ceremony was attended by Ms. Xie Kongzhu, General Manager of Tiansu Petrochemical; Ms. Yang Hui, Vice General Manager; and Ms. Zhang Caifeng, Manager of International Business Department II. Representing LG Chem were Mr. Jung Ji-hoo, General Manager of LG Chem Qingdao Branch; Mr. Wang Hongbo, Department Head; and Ms. Zhao Fangfang, Section Chief. Due to travel restrictions related to the global pandemic, LG Chem’s global PO business executive, Mr. Han Seok-hee, and China sales lead, Mr. Lee Soon-ryul, joined the ceremony virtually via video conference — demonstrating the high-level commitment from both sides.

This collaboration significantly expands the scope of cooperation between Tiansu Petrochemical and LG Chem, particularly in the specialized materials segment. With access to LG Chem’s advanced metallocene technology and production capacity, Tiansu strengthens its position as a premier supplier of high-performance polymers in northern China. The partnership is expected to drive mutual growth, enhance product innovation, and deliver greater value to end-users across industries such as packaging, automotive, and consumer goods.
Both parties expressed strong confidence in the long-term potential of this alliance and pledged to deepen communication, expand joint initiatives, and build a robust, sustainable strategic framework that benefits customers and stakeholders alike.
